The KERN ORA-B series consists of universal, maintenance-free analogue hand-held refractometers designed for reliable everyday use. Their robust and ergonomic construction ensures easy handling, durability, and efficient operation in routine analytical and industrial applications.

The integrated measuring scales are precisely calculated, verified, and clearly defined, allowing accurate and repeatable readings. High-quality optical components and a prismatic screen made from specialized materials enable low-tolerance measurements and consistent performance. An adjustable eyepiece allows quick adaptation to different visual acuities.

Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) ensures accurate measurements across a range of ambient temperatures, typically between 10 °C and 30 °C, without the need for manual correction. Each unit is supplied with essential accessories for calibration, handling, and maintenance, while additional accessories are available as optional items.

The ORA-B series is suitable for a wide range of industrial, analytical, and process monitoring applications where precise refractive index or Brix measurements are required.
